For the past 12 years I have had the honour and privilege of skating 35 marathon events across Canada each for 19hrs 26min a to raise funding and awareness for families battling with Alzheimer's and Dementia in memory of my mother Eunice McNeil born 1926 who battled with Alzheimer's disease for 20 years. However in the past 18 months Brain Cancer has effected my family directly with the passing of my wife Tina Grezos McNeil after a short 39 day battle.  Now I find it difficult to see myself skating for only one charity so I have changed things up a bit moving forward.

1926 National Skate day for all Charities  On Saturday January 13th 2024 at 12:01am I will step on the ice at Nathan Philip Square in Toronto and skate my usual 19hrs 26min finishing at 7:26pm Saturday night only now I will be skating for all charities in Canada.  It's truly simple to donate just go online and donate $19.26 or what ever you wish to the charity of your choice in your community.  #chooseyourcharity

                                                                    ALL CHARITIES CAN GET INVOLVED

All you need to do is post the event to your social media platforms and website and use the event as a blank canvas to promote the opportunity to your fundraising community to donate.

The Hoody

For every skating event I design a one of a kind yellow hoody that everyone that I come in contact with signs the hoody and at the end of each skate I would give the hoody to the Alzheimer's society in that city to be auctioned off.

This year we will be auctioning off the hoody online and the winning bid will be donated to the charity of their choice.

This is some pics of the cool people to sign some of the hoody's
